Elon Musk: exact sciences should be taught in different way

At the International ISS Use and Development conference, the Tesla and SpaceX head Elon Musk raised the question of math conventional studying at school ineffectiveness.

Students see no point in solving problems and equations as well as the necessity of this knowledge. If math and physics classes were practical, not theoretical, the studying process would be more effective. For instance, it is more interesting to study while satellites or engines developing than sitting at the desk at schools. Human brain is used to filter any unnecessary or uninteresting information out.

According to Musk, practical learning of exact sciences is not very popular but is one the most progressive techniques. Starting from school times, engines modeling would be a great opportunity to realize the necessity of knowledge in math and physics. It is this approach that will connect knowledge with its practical use in the future.

Elon Musk considers learning to be a never-ending life process, which is brightly demonstrated by the expert’s activity. Previously, he was focused on PayPal service development and now he is involved in electric cars, reusable rockets and clean energy systems.
