Animals and technologies: panda that generates solar energy

Green Energy has developed the animal-shaped solar battery system and installed it in Datong, China. It is a panda that the engineers have chosen for their project.

This installation was designed within the UN Development Programme. Its key goal is to generate energy and to attract young scientists engaged in this industry. Such an approach can inspire many engineers focusing on the solar energy innovation sector.

The area of panda-shaped power plant is more than one square kilometer, allowing to produce 50 MW of energy daily. For example, this amount will be enough to provide 8 thousand US residential structures with light.

Currently, one is constructing the second panda in this territory. The company is going to produce 100 MW per day.

Panda Green Energy is ready to implement this project in other countries as well. For instance, in the nearest locations: the Philippines and Fiji Islands.

The developers leave open the possibility to project not only pandas but also various animals. The key factor influencing their choice will be national preferences of each country.
