Mercedes-Benz produces autonomous cars

Mercedes-Benz car manufacturer presented video of its new S-class sedan, independently leaving the factory in Sindelfingen (Germany). It turned, maneuvered, pulled up and sped up without human input. The sedan went 0.9 miles in such a mode.

The car operates on the third level autonomy. It can move on highway on its own, keep the speed in accordance with road signs as well as slowdown before cars going slower.

To perform a maneuver, a driver should just switch on an indicator: thus, the car will know that overtaking and lane changing are safe.
