Hyperloop One tests its vacuum transportation system

Hyperloop One specializes on the development of high-speed transportation vehicles. On May 12, 2017, engineers conducted the first test of the vacuum system operating with the magnetic levitation technology. The end goal involves trains moving inside of the capsules capable of reaching 1200 km/h in the vacuum tunnels.

During the first test, maximum speed comprised 112 km/h. The train is set to gain 402 km/h on the next stage.

Company presented not only the information about the initial stages, but also the prototype of a 8,5-m capsule train, which would transport passengers or any loads within the vacuum tubes.

Hyperloop co-founder Shervin Pishevar noted that their test demonstrated the result that was considered to be unachievable before.
